Misschien dat u zich na wat gescrollt te hebben afvraagt waar mijn werk over gaat. Zelf vraag ik mij dat ook regelmatig af.

Toch hoor ik mijzelf de laatste tijd steeds vaker het hier volgende zeggen: "Ik ben beeldend kunstenaar, alumni van de Rijksakademie en werk vanuit het meta besef
dat wij mensen betekeniszoekende wezens zijn, dat wij betekenis vindende-, en betekenis creërende wezens zijn. Dit omdat het universum voor ons te groot is om in te wonen". (Hello Cosmic Gaze)

Ik werk al handelend en associatief. Tegelijkertijd ook conceptueel. De uitwerkingen zijn vaak efemeer.

Wat 'toont' hetgeen ik maak en aan mijn directe omgeving toevoeg wat ik zelf ook nog niet helemaal herken of wil herkennen? (Hello Mining Meaning.)

Uiteindelijk gaat het mij om te verwijzen naar het wit tussen de letters, de ruimte rondom de woorden en de vormloze stilte tussen de zinnen.

Naast horizontale georiënteerdheid van het alledaagse, ruimte voor het verticale, voor het continuüm, voor het bezielde en bezielende. Voorbij de woorden, de beelden,  het gekende. Schoorvoetend en aftastend.

Met een beetje geduld en wat geluk geeft mijn werk u toegang tot het 'world wide wonder' dat betekenisvinding heet.

After scrolling a bit, you may wonder what my work is about. I regularly ask myself the same question.
